Ball Watch Company For BMW Chronograph Chronometer CM3010C-S5CJ-BK. BALL Watch Company and BMW share the same values, especially a passion for precision mechanical engineering, an undeniable spirit of innovation and constant attention to technical and aesthetic excellence. Through their quest for perfection, precision and expertise, the watchmaking and automobile worlds are an ideal match. The BALL Watch released in cooperation with BMW was produced in a limited edition series.
The watches are built atop the core values of the two engineering-driven companies: performance, mechanical precision and spirit of innovation. A high high-grade stainless steel case which has a high corrosion protection and offers a long wear resistance, brushed top bezel and mirror polished sides and a slightly convex anti-glare Sapphire crystal, will safeguard your fine timepiece for many, many years to come. The curved sides of the watch are inspired by the BMW design lines we see sweeping across the sides of the cars. The black dial, inspired by the Speedometer found in BMW's automobile dashboard with a raised inner ring with a white Tachymeter scale on it, stainless steel indices with tritium tube lights for the hour markers, sharp.
> logo and logotype next to the day&date in window at 3 o'clock, a raised BMW emblem logo and three sub-dials on a concentric background, will flatter any wrist with it's timeless design. The length of the hands was coordinated precisely to the minute markers and the indices that are located at intervals of five minutes. The edges of both the two large hands and the indices always break incident light in such a manner that there is a high contrast with the dial, so that the time can be read clearly. Luminous hour markers and hour/minute hands.
It is the self-powered micro gas tube (H3) that gives the watch excellent legibility even in the absolute darkness. This light source on all BALL watches does not require external charge, and lasts for up to 25 years. Self-Powered Micro Gas Tubes (H3) are a novel light source manufactured by means of innovative Swiss laser technology. The six screws stainless steel and glass bottom allows you to admire the. >, a fine Swiss made, self winding movement, which incorporates no fewer than 25 Jewels, has a power reserve of 48 hours and has the rotor engraved in the traditional. > way, with BALL gold colored logo and logotype. The crystal of the glass bottom has also been decorated with the BMW roundel design, to add to the special features of this fine watch. Superb 3d BMW roundel on the stainless steel screw-down crown, to complement the entire sophisticated design. The new BALL and BMW watches include a revolutionary anti-shock system. Patented as Amortiser, the system protects the movement against extreme shocks. The unique micro-mechanical system, inspired by the automotive world, features a shock-absorbing protection ring enveloping the movement. The elegant high-grade stainless steel bracelet that follows the lines of the case and a stainless steel butterfly clasp, BALL laser engraved, ensures that this fine timepiece sits on the wrist comfortably and securely at all the times. A Chronometer is an extremely accurate watch. It takes its name from the Greek words chronos + metron meaning "to measure time".
A BALL chronometer is a highly accurate, mechanical watch whose precision has been tested and verified by The Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, or COSC, in French). Before issuing the certificate, the COSC conducts elaborate precision tests (7 tests in total) on each BALL movement using cameras and computers and analyzes the data. The COSC performs seven different tests. Failure to meet the minimum standard in any one of the tests means that a movement is rejected. Diamond hardness is 10, Sapphire is 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. Highest grade Swiss made automatic movement, COSC certified.Analog Swiss Made a utomatic quartz movement specifications. A never-ending source of misunderstandings often caused by the irresponsible advertising of certain competitors, who are usually the ones to refuse any responsibility when damage by water occurs. Here are the facts in plain English: 1. Every known brand submits the watch to a 2-phase test in a chamber, where it has to withstand to pressure for the minimum length of time required by industrial standards. It may seem a paradox, but low pressure-resistance, say at 0.5 bar equivalent to 50 cm depth is more critical to achieve, because increasing pressure tends to compress the seals, thereby increasing the resistance; the second phase test conducted at 3 bar 30 m. Because of a solid case-construction, the known brands watches will resist to 10 bar 100 m. Or 300 ft and we could confidently call it a «diver's watch» 2. HOWEVER: The water resistance of a wristwatch is constantly challenged by mechanical wear caused by bumps, shocks etc. Rapid changes in temperature, caustic acids, chemicals, etc. And can therefore not be guaranteed as a permanent condition. I renounces to using inflationary «theoretical» claims; the decision to wear your valuable timepiece for swimming, diving or in the Sauna is yours. On a side-note: only very few specially trained and equipped divers reach depths of 100 m and wear professional computers to indicate the life-saving compression- and decompression data; at such depths, normal watches will just not do.
